Special Majors You must have your undergraduate Special Major program fully approved before the end of the Add/Drop Period in order to have the units taken this quarter apply to the requirement that at least 40 units of your major and 60 units of your degree be approved in advance. Graduate Special Majors must also have their programs approved in order to count units toward the 32-unit residence requirement.You may call (510) 885-3718 if you are unsure about whether or not your special major program has reached the end of the approval process.
