Grading Credit/No Credit Grading Courses graded CR earn credit and can be used to meet requirements within the restrictions noted below. Courses graded NC do not earn credit and cannot be used to meet requirements. Neither grade affects your grade point average. NC is assigned for D+, D, or F work in the CR/NC format in undergraduate courses. In graduate and 5000-level courses, NC is also assigned for C+, C, or C- work in the CR/NC format. Some courses are taught only in a CR/NC format. You need not worry about special Registration procedures or any restrictions for such courses. Just Register normally. For undergraduate courses that are graded in the normal A - F pattern, you can choose to Register CR/NC if you prefer. No approvals are required, but there are restrictions. You cannot count more than 60 units of CR/NC courses toward an undergraduate degree. Liberal Studies majors should meet with an advisor before choosing CR/NC grading. Normally, you cannot count courses taken on a CR/NC basis toward your major. Post-baccalaureate and graduate students may not apply CR/NC courses to graduate degrees, except for courses graded only in the CR/NC format. No changes to or from CR/NC are permitted after the end of the Add/Drop Period. Verifying Grades Grades will be posted online on the Monday after grade rosters have been submitted to the Records Office. You can view your grades online at https://myinfo.csuhayward.edu or call (510) 885-4550. If you suspect there is an error, obtain and file a Discrepancy Check Request at the Student Information Lobby, located on the first floor of Warren Hall, or the Contra Costa Campus Academic Services Lobby. |
