Adding and Dropping Classes Adding and Dropping Classes Summer/Fall Registration May 17 – May 28. Prepayment not required. During the First Pass you will have an opportunity to register for up to 14 units for Summer and up to 14 units for Fall. Auto waitlist runs nightly. June 1 – June 10 (Summer) and June 12 (Fall). Prepayment not required. During the Second Pass you will have an opportunity to register for up to 22 units for Summer and 22 units for Fall. Auto waitlist runs nightly and ends June 7 for the Summer term. June 11 – 12. Drop only for Summer. You have the opportunity to drop classes before fees are assessed. June 16 – Fees are due for Summer term. If you have enrolled for Fall and Summer courses, any payment made will be applied to the Summer term first. June 19 – July 6. Prepayment Required. Registration runs again for Summer (please note that an additional $25 late fee will be assessed if you register between June 21 and July 6). Auto waitlist for Summer runs nightly between June 21 and June 25. July 6. End of Add/Drop. No more changes to your Summer schedule are permitted after this date. June 14 – Sept 8. Open Registration for Fall (Closed July 5 and Sept 4,5 for Holidays). Auto waitlist runs May 17 – Sept 3. Sept 9 – 11. You have the opportunity to drop classes before fees are assessed. Sept. 15. Fees are due for Fall. Sept 20 – October 7. Prepayment Required. Registration continues for Fall. (Please note that an additional $25 late fee will be assessed if you register between Sept 23 – Oct. 7. Auto waitlist runs from Sept. 23 – Sept. 29. October 7. End of Add/Drop. No more changes to your schedule for Fall are permitted after this date. Important Reminders For a complete removal of the course(s) from your academic records, it is critical that you select the ‘drop’ feature on e-sailor. Do not assume you will be dropped/ not dropped automatically if you do not attend the first class meeting. First-time freshmen must see an advisor before dropping. F1 and J1 students must receive approval from the Center for International Education if dropping below full-time status. After the add/drop deadline, students will be required to submit a Withdrawal form. Adding more than 22 units Student show have received permission from their major department to enroll in more than 22 units may adjust their schedule accordingly during the Late Registration period. Undeclared students must visit the University Advisement Center for approval. Special Majors must visit the Academic Program and Graduate Studies office for approval. Contra Costa students must visit the Academic Services Office at the Contra Costa Campus for approval.
