How to Obtain a Haywire Account?
Haywire account is an account for Unix Shell and Web Space Access
at CSU East Bay. This account does not provide internet access.
You may access this account from any computer connected to the internet
by using a TELNET session. Telnet to haywire.csueastbay.edu. Enter
your NetID and password at the appropriate prompts. The account
is revocable at any time by the University (see
Information and Computing Resource Use Policy).
All students requesting a web Haywire account or a Haywire
password reset must first request a Horizon account. Once
they have filled out the online request and have a Horizon
account they then need to send the following email with their
request from their Horizon Account.
Send a message requesting a web Haywire account to: operator@csueastbay.edu
- CSUEB NetID
- Last Name
- First Name
The "operator" will email account information
back to the student to the Horizon account.
