Systemwide Internal Partnership-California Education Technology Initiative:
Campus Actions on Gifts, Grants, and Contracts

At the September 15 meeting the California Education Technology Initiative (CETI) corporate team of GTE, Fujitsu, Microsoft and Hughes was selected as the team with whom our Systemwide Internal Partnership Team would enter into Phase IV negotiations leading to a public/private partnership of the Technology Infrastructure Initiative. As part of that meeting Chancellor Munitz asked you not to enter negotiations are taking place with the CETI.

Since that meeting, there have been a number of questions from the campuses asking for clarification and guidance relative to the whole arena of gifts, grants, campus partnering, and contracts related to technology equipment, software and services. The following is an attempt to give you and your campus staff guidelines and processes for use over the next few months.

Tom can be reached at (562) 985-9406, Fax (562) 985-9406, or e-mail twest@csuhayward.edu.
