CSU-INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP (CETI):
Wave of the Future or Death of Public Higher Education in California

Background:
Four corporations, GTE, Fujitsu, Hughes and Microsoft, have proposed a partnership with the CSU to help us meet our growing technological needs. The working name is CETI (California Educational Technology Initiative Corporation). They plan to invest in building out the technological infrastructure of all CSU campuses and to generate revenues of more than $350,000,000 annually by the year 2002 to "justify the team's commitment to the project."
