For our commuter students, freeway connections are close, and there's ample parking. Our free "Hillhopper" shuttle to a nearby BART light-rail station and East Bay bus system service to the campus make coming and going painless.
Concord Campus
In the foothills near Mount Diablo, Cal State East Bay
's Concord campus in Concord serves more than 1,300 transfer and re-entry working adults who find all the resources of a public university in a personal environment.
Our small classes encourage discussion and collaboration, while state-of-the-art technology expands your learning network. The distance learning classrooms are equipped with two-way video conferencing capability, connecting you with professors at our Hayward Hills campus, partner schools, and our overseas classrooms. Sophisticated computer labs and a library wired for advanced research are also available for our students.
Designed with the working adult in mind, the Concord campus offers upper division, graduate and extension instruction at convenient weekday, evening, and weekend times that coordinate with your work schedule. As a CSUEB Concord Campus student, you have a full range of student services, from academic advising and career counseling to financial aid and health services.
Oakland Professional Development & Conference Center
For the past decade, students interested in renewing or expanding their job skills can choose from one of the seven certificate programs offered at our centrally located Development and Conference Center in Oakland. Night time class schedules enable working professionals and community residents to complete certificate programs, a Masters degree in Public Administration, or an undergraduate degree in Human Development. All classes and programs are taught by Cal State East Bay professors. The Oakland Center provides state-of-the-art classrooms with wireless LAN connections, high-speed multimedia labs, and an expandable conference room with sound, multimedia, and wireless Internet connections.
The Oakland Center is easily accessible from the City Center BART light rail station or the Interstate 880 freeway. In-house parking is available at night and on weekends.
