MGMT 364/Technology Applications In Human Resource Management Golden Gate University - Fall Term - 2005
A Human Resource Management Information Systems Course was last offered at California State University East Bay in the Fall Quarter of 1998 as a 'special topics' course. As yet it is not a regular offering in either the undergraduate or graduate Human Resource programs offered through the Business Department.

The course was designed to provide historical, current and future perspectives in Human Resource Management Systems Management and Technologies. The course offered a comprehensive mix of lecture, computer laboratory, case study and independent research assignments.
A survey of current HRMS vendor solutions is integrated throughout the course which includes PeopleSoft, SAP, Human Resource Micro Systems, Cyborg, Genesys, CompExec, CompBuilder and others. Hands-on labs and vendor presentations are also part of the curriculum for the course. The course is designed for both upper division and graduate students.

Robert C. Hughes Jr, M.S. is the course instructor. RC ' Bob' Hughes has over 25 years experience in Human Resources Management and has consulted in the areas of Human Resource Systems Management and Development and Compensation Planning and Research Systems.
Mr. Hughes has practiced and consulted in HRMS development, evaluation, deployment and management in both the public and private sectors including finance, insurance, health care, college and universities, transportation and the federal government. In addition, Mr.. Hughes has developed commercial Compensation Planning Software and Online Compensation Planning Systems.
Mr. Hughes also occasionally teaches a Wage and Salary Administration course which covers Compensation Planning, Budgeting and Evaluation Systems along with contemporary legal and policy issues in Compensation Administration.
