Nonprofit Management Certificate

 
 

Program Overview

The California State University, East Bay Certificate in Nonprofit Management Program prepares existing and aspiring nonprofit professionals to meet the increasingly challenging demands of the industry.

Students who enter the Nonprofit Management Certificate program can look forward to engaging, hands-on sessions that directly apply to their day-to-day work. All are taught by professors and instructors with substantial experience in all aspects of the nonprofit field, from board planning and fundraising to organizational development and financial and personnel management. Classes are held in the evenings and are conveniently located in downtown Oakland, making them easily accessible via public transportation or car.

Program Objectives

  • To provide graduates a thorough grounding in all aspects of nonprofit management, including board development, financial management, fundraising, marketing, program evaluation and nonprofit law.
  • To give graduates the skills and confidence to meet head-on the evolving demands of nonprofit administration.
  • To give graduates the skills and confidence to better meet their existing day-to-day challenges.

  • Nonprofit administrators, board members, staff and volunteers seeking to upgrade their skills, stay current with best practices and trends and improve their organizations' effectiveness.
  • Individuals interested in working in the nonprofit field.

Tuition: $2,300/quarter
Living Expenses $2,700/quarter
