IELTS
What is the IELTS?
IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is an examination designed to assess the language ability of candidates who need to study or work where English is the language of communication.
IELTS is recognized by universities, such as Cal State East Bay, as a demonstration of English proficiency and by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.
California State University, East Bay is an official IELTS Testing Centre and offers the test on campus every month.

Intensive IELTS Preparation Courses
The IELTS Preparation courses are designed for individuals who are preparing to sit for the IELTS Examination. In this course you will learn test taking skills and strategies for the four language areas: Speaking, Writing, Listening, and Reading. The course includes introduction to an online program of preparation you can also access from your home computer for the duration of the course.
Classes are usually held from 9 am to 1 pm for two consecutive Saturdays at California State University, East Bay, just before our monthly IELTS examination.
