Why Live on campus?
- Convenience: Living on campus means you can focus 100% on your studies and enjoy organized activities right on campus. You do no need to worry about things like food or transportation. Our campus housing has an all- you-can-eat brand new Dining Commons and our Residential Life in housing has activities for residents in the housing community. If you have problems with your roommates, the resident assistants are there on your floor to help you.
- Economical: Living on campus means you do not have to waste time travelling to campus. You do not have to spend time and money cooking meals for yourself or pay for utilities. Moreover, you do not need to buy furniture or a car.
- Safety: Living on campus means you can walk to all your classes with your friends; do your homework/projects with your friends in the comfort of your apartment. If you have any problems, you can call our campus police; they are on campus where you live.
Options available for Campus Housing:
There are three choices of housing on campus and all three types of housing are fully furnished:
- Tamalpais suites: These are double occupancy rooms (2 students share a room) with 6 to 8 residents in each apartment. A full meal plan is required since there is only a microwave and refrigerator in each apartment and no stove. Our apartment suites are recommended for incoming new students as these apartments are designed to allow maximum interaction with your roommate and suitemates.
- Doubles: These are also double occupancy rooms with 4 residents in each apartment. Partial meal plan is required since there is a stove, a microwave and a refrigerator in the apartment. Availability is very limited and these apartments are open to upper classmen (junior, seniors, and graduate students) only.
- Singles: These are the only single occupancy on campus with 4 residents to each apartment. Partial meal plan is required as there is a stove, a microwave and a refrigerator in the apartment. These apartments are available to those who want a partial meal plan and who want their own bedrooms.
